This is a different suggestion than the usual because in this blog I will be sharing my experience watching videos from a YouTube channel named Unfiltered by Samdish. About the creator, he used to work with Scoopwhoop (a web content creation company) and I got suggested one of his videos via Youtube’s algorithm at the time when covid was at its peak in India and this guy was reporting from ground zero in Delhi. Since, then I started watching his videos and getting to know more about the work he does. I mainly admire the interviews he conducts with different individuals who have done notable work in their respective fields. Lately, he has started his own company named Unfiltered by Samdish, and the predominant content on his channel are the interview and that’s what we will be discussing about, in this blog.

Who features in the interviews?

Well, this is the best part about his interview that he doesn’t interview anybody who is an established superstar in our country, at least not yet. The major features are Pankaj Tripathi, Anurag Basu, Manoj Pahwa, and Jeetendra Kumar.

Have you ever given a thought why the character actors take a backstage when it comes to promoting any movie or a series or in this case their own content, well, mainly because they are not the sellable faces, and the PR teams make sure that the content penetrates to the bottom of the demographic, hence the lead actor and actresses promote any cinema.

But somewhere we know that the likes of Pankaj Kapoor, Vijay Raj and many others have worked in this industry for a long time but did not feature in any mainstream interview, and many of us would like to hear them and listen to their thought process and their journey to this world of motion picture.

What is this about?

As I mentioned above, the actors who usually plays a side character in any movie are the actors who have performed in theatres across India for many years and then they got to showcase their art on silver screen, but the matter of fact is they are much more capable than what we see of them in movies. This interview showcases and discusses their work from their early age and how did they end up on a large scale?

However, it is not the main crux of the interview but the way it is shot. The interviews arere mainly conducted in room with no audience and in a very comfortable manner. The best aspect of these interviews is the interviewer, he is so energetic and lively that he makes sure the guests are completely candid while sharing their stories and experiences.

Why to watch?

Many of us comes from a middle-class background with limited resources and little to no knowledge about the field we want to make careers in. But the aspirations are high and they should be, these interviews will tell you the stories of people who knew they wanted to become actors but did not have any idea how. There journey, struggle mindset while chasing their dream and the determination is what we get to learn from these interviews.

Several times, the guests share very intimate information about their thought process and those are the life lessons no institute will teach you but can only be learnt from the person who has faced it.

Finally, if you like the interviews, please make sure you check out his earlier interview when he used to work with Scoopwhoop, those are also very good, will give you an insight in the life of politicians.
